Compuderr skillzzz

I used photoshop for the first time last week to complete a uni brief we had been given to design a book cover for a wildlife book using a maximum of three colours and incorporating text etc etc yadda yadda
anyway heres what I came up with
I hand drew the owl and mice and scanned them in and then inverted the outline - all very complicated and technical I assure thee :)

It only took a year :p
but there were large gaps of no painting were I just couldnt face him (ha) - theres still lots I could do with him - lots of blemishes and more stubble but for now Im pleased to have him hanging on my wall - that giant head! awwww

I did this little dude today ... need to make more of a habit of sketching away! Im really worried that Im getting carried away with myself taking on an illustration degree when i have absolutely no idea how to use a computer :) oh well lifes for living and learning!
